LiXin Teochew Review: Under $10 Michelin Bib Gourmand Noodles
LiXin Teochew Fishball Noodles
When a noodle shop has been on the Michelin Bib Gourmand list for four consecutive years and still keeps everything under $10, it's worth paying attention to! LiXin Teochew Fishball Noodles has 58 years of heritage behind their handmade fishballs, and you can really taste the difference between their plump QQ fishballs and ordinary fishballs
What We Ordered
Fishball Minced Meat Noodles 💰 $7.50 · ⭐ 8/10💰 $7.50 · ⭐ 8/10

I went with mee kia for this set and the texture was spot on. The noodles had that perfect springy bite, and the wanton skin stayed crispy and fresh. The soup came loaded with huge fish and meatballs that had a good QQ texture. For $7.50, this felt like solid value with the generous portion of ingredients.
The Folk's Favourite 💰 $9.20 · ⭐ 8.5/10💰 $9.20 · ⭐ 8.5/10

Mee Pok noodles were perfectly chewy and springy and was coated in their iconic sweet & spicy chilli sauce that was so good! Onsen egg made it even creamier & more indulgent. It also comes w a bowl of soup filled w ingredients like fish dumplings, 3 huge fishballs & fish roll which is such good portion and value for the price.
Signature Noodles 💰 $8.30 · ⭐ 8.5/10💰 $8.30 · ⭐ 8.5/10

This was one of the my favourites! The crispy pork lard added an extra layer of fragrance that made the noodles more indulgent. The soup was packed with dumplings, meatballs, fishballs and more, so you're definitely getting your money's worth in terms of ingredients. The balance between the noodles and soup worked well together.
