Jeju Haenyeo Review: $45 Jeju Omakase That Feels Like You're Dining Underwater?!
Jeju Haenyeo
If you've always wanted to experience authentic Jeju cuisine without flying to Korea, this immersive omakase is one of the most unique dining experiences I've had in Singapore. Starting from just $45, you'll enjoy a beautifully curated 3-course meal while dining beneath stunning underwater projections inspired by the seas of Jeju!
What We Ordered
Traditional Jeju Porridge ⭐ 9.5/10⭐ 9.5/10

The perfect start to the meal. This comforting Jeju-style porridge was packed with rich umami flavours that really warmed up the palate. It was simple, hearty and definitely one of my favourite dishes of the entire course.
The Sea Gujeolpan ⭐ 9.5/10⭐ 9.5/10

For the main course, we chose the Sea platter, featuring the traditional Korean Gujeolpan with an assortment of fresh seafood, vegetables and seaweeds. The highlight was definitely the Jeju Horned Turban Shell, one of Jeju's most prized delicacies harvested by the legendary Haenyeo women divers.

Everything is paired with silky noodles before an authentic Jeju soy broth is poured over tableside. The broth had a wonderfully nutty, savoury flavour that was both refreshing and deeply umami, bringing all the ingredients together into one incredibly satisfying bowl.
Jeju Style Dessert ⭐ 8.5/10⭐ 8.5/10

A light and refreshing finish to the meal. The creamy ice cream paired beautifully with tangy cream cheese and fragrant perilla powder, giving it a subtle nutty aroma that balanced the sweetness nicely. It was the perfect palate cleanser to round off the experience.

For the second course, you're able to choose between Earth or Sea (what we got) cuisines! They have a variety of different courses as well, and even performances on the weekends!
Overall Thoughts
Dining here felt like more than just having a meal, it was a complete experience.

The immersive underwater projections made it feel as though we were dining beneath the sea, while the restaurant also showcases authentic Haenyeo artefacts that celebrate Jeju's famous women divers and their rich heritage.
At just $45 for a 3-course experience, it's honestly one of the most unique and value-for-money Korean dining experiences I've had in Singapore!
Would I return? Absolutely. If you're looking for something different from the usual omakase or Korean restaurants, Jeju Haenyeo is definitely worth experiencing at least once.
