Ingleside: A Wood-Fired Restaurant Perfect for Date Night & Special Occasions
Ingleside
If you're planning a date night or celebrating something special in Singapore, Ingleside is worth considering. The wood-fired meats and house made sauces made this one of the better meals we've had in a while.
What We Ordered
Sourdough & Apple Wood Smoked Miso Butter 💰 FREE · ⭐ 10/10💰 FREE · ⭐ 10/10

This was complimentary! The sourdough was perfectly crispy on the edges and fluffy inside. It also comes with miso butter on the side that had this deep smokiness that paired beautifully with the bread.
Roasted Red Cabbage 💰 $13 · ⭐ 8/10💰 $13 · ⭐ 8/10

Infused with miso butter, ricotta and balsamic vinegar, paired with tender pancetta pieces. This was one of the better vegetable side dishes I've tried at a restaurant.
Wagyu Tartare 💰 $32 · ⭐ 9/10💰 $32 · ⭐ 9/10

The wagyu was perfectly tender and the bone marrow literally melted in my mouth. Both components were quite rich, so pairing it with the sourdough made each bite perfect.
Wagyu Picanha 200g 💰 $65 · ⭐ 10/10💰 $65 · ⭐ 10/10

This dish was the star of the night!! Wagyu usually gets too fatty for me, but this cut was perfectly tender and melted in my mouth while still having that meaty chew I love. The wood-fired preparation added the perfect char. Must try if you visit!
Salmon Tartare Tartelette 💰 $18 · ⭐ 9/10💰 $18 · ⭐ 9/10

The salmon was incredibly fresh and not too fatty or cloying. The caviar added just the right amount of saltiness to balance everything. This was so good and worth a try if you have the budget. (Else I would skip to splurge more on the other mains as this was quite a small portion)
Spanish Carabinero Prawn 💰 $48 · ⭐ 8/10💰 $48 · ⭐ 8/10

Dry aged with beef fat and smoked to perfection. The prawn was super juicy and tender, though the sauce was slightly too rich on its own. Paired with the sourdough, it was perfect.
Channel Rockfish 💰 $50 · ⭐ 7/10💰 $50 · ⭐ 7/10

Dry aged for 2 days and served with herb and anchovy sauce. The fish was perfectly tender and crispy, melting in your mouth. The house-made sauce added incredible depth of flavour.
Smoked Chocolate Brownie 💰 $21 · ⭐ 9/10💰 $21 · ⭐ 9/10

The most decadent and fudgy brownie I've had. It did get slightly salty, but the coconut foam balanced it perfectly. Rich and indulgent without being overwhelming.
Housemade Sauces

All sauces are made in house which explains why every single one of them felt so intentional and paired perfectly with every dish it came with. So so delicious
Overall Thoughts
Ingleside delivers an exceptional dining experience that justifies the premium pricing. The wood-fired cooking technique and house-made sauces elevate every dish, and the attention to detail is evident throughout. The service was immaculate from start to end as well, and the staff were so hospitable!
Would I return? Absolutely, if I ever have the budget for it again.
